Training Overview

At WisdmLabs, we don’t believe in just checking in every day, working for 8 hours, and then going back home. The work we do here excites us, drives us, and motivates us to do better and better.

As a company, we believe in encouraging this drive and aiding the professional growth of our employees by conducting regular training sessions to improve our productivity and skill sets.

The reason is simple. In a world that changes every time we look around, keeping up with the evolving trends of the industry is the only way to achieve success as a company.

Hence, we have made it a priority to conduct departmental as well as company-wide training sessions to nurture holistic growth.

Our Mission

The ‘Training at WisdmLabs’ initiative has a two-fold mission.

  1. Improve Employee Productivity in Existing Tasks
  2. Develop new Skills in Alignment with the Company Vision

The key to succeeding as a company is when all the employees came together to work as one – with a common vision, a singular mission, and perfect understanding.

Naturally, to drive this solidarity, it is necessary to encourage people, challenge them, and help them grow, and this is exactly what we do, at WisdmLabs.

Joining the Wisdm family is equivalent to finding support, inspiration, and flexibility that helps employees grow along their career paths, as well as independent individuals.

Here, we maintain an approach of creative growth, continuous learning, and advancement in fields that interest our employees.

The Current Training Team

Mr. Arunesh Parab, our CTO, and Foram Rambhiya, our Associate Technical Leader, are the principal leaders of the Training initiative, with all team Managers on the board as implicit members.

Training Principles

The training modules that we have designed and conducted for our employees are based on 5 fundamental principles.

Every training activity is designed with specific goals in mind and defined learning outcomes, for optimum utilization of the employees’ time.

The five training principles are as follows –

  1. Planning the Learning Outcomes

Every training module will have a predefined learning outcome, in specific, measurable terms. The team manager who proposes the subject and training activity, whether conducted internally or by an external entity, will have to establish the need and benefit of the said training.

  1. Measuring the Learning Outcomes

The learning outcomes defined for the training activity will be evaluated at the end of the session, to identify if the activity has made a genuine difference in the performance/understanding of the attendees. Tracking and analysis of these outcomes will provide a clear idea as to whether the training activity is paying dividends as expected, or if there are any noticeable deviations.

  1. Root Cause Analysis of all Deviation

Post the measurement of learning outcomes, in case deviations do occur,we conduct a root cause analysis to understand why the deviation is being seen. All the conclusions derived from the analysis will be added to the next version of the training module, optimizing it accordingly for better performance.

  1. Avoiding Solely Theoretical Training

Here at Wisdm, we strongly believe in the power of experimentation. It often happens that when you conduct an experiment, the results might differ significantly from those we expect. In such a scenario, had we proceeded without conducting the experiment, basing future strategies on our assumptions, we would be going down the wrong path.

Training is a similar activity. To assess whether our employees are truly understanding the concept, we encourage activity-based training, as opposed to theoretical training. This invites more participation and eliminates ‘listener’s lethargy’.

That’s not to say theoretical training is absolutely sidelined. However, an ideal mix would be some theory with maximum hands-on experience.

  1. Activity-based Training With Real-life Applications

Continuing the previous point, we emphasize activity-based training with an especial focus on adapting this training in real-life scenarios. The whole point of training is to put it into action immediately, to assess its use better.

Training Key Result Areas

The primary reason for conducting training sessions is to boost the personal and professional learning and skills of all employees. To evaluate whether the training is making a difference in the lives of Wisdmites, we are evaluating 3 Key Result Areas, post the sessions.

These are:

  • Impact of the Training
  • Impact on Onboarding
  • Impact of Random Sessions
