On the rare occasion that you have to work on a holiday or a day off- to meet client requirements or for official meetings – you will be entitled to a “Compensatory Off” (which has to be availed within a month from the date worked).
This will not be credited to your leave balance. An employee needs to raise a request from the HR portal and after getting approval from the Line manager or HR manager; the compensatory leave will be credited to an employee’s account under Compensatory off.
To avail compensatory off, you need to apply it using the HR portal a day or two before you want to avail the leave.
Important Note – The request for Compensatory Off should be raised before the 25th of that month. For example, if you work on a Saturday of August, then the request for a compensatory off should be raised before the 25th of August.
Applying for a Compensatory Off
You can apply directly for a compensatory off, or a manager can apply on your behalf. You can apply for half-days.
In the HR portal, you should see a link to ‘Request Credit for Compensatory Off’ under the Apply Leave button.
