We all need a proper break once in a while – not just long weekends, but a real pause to disconnect from work, rest, and recharge.
The Vacation Leave is designed to:
- Give employees a consecutive 5 working day break to unwind.
- Encourage people to use their leave proactively, instead of burning out.
- Support better work–life balance while still allowing teams to plan work smoothly.
This is your time to rest, travel, spend time with loved ones, or simply do nothing. No meetings. No emails. No guilt. A Vacation Week is a block of 5 consecutive working days of planned leave, approved in advance, meant purely for rest and personal time. It must be pre-planned and approved by your manager before you book tickets or make final plans.
Eligibility
- Applicable to all full-time confirmed employees.
- Vacation Week is subject to project timelines and business needs, and is always taken with prior approval.
Entitlement
- Each eligible employee can avail one Vacation Week as a separate leave type on Keka (5 consecutive working days) in a calendar year..
- The Vacation Week:
- Must be taken as a single continuous block of 5 working days.
- Cannot be split into smaller breaks (e.g., 2 days + 3 days).
Rescheduling or Cancelling a Vacation Week
We understand plans can change:
- If you need to reschedule your Vacation Week, inform your manager and HR as early as possible, and submit a fresh request in the HR portal.
- If the Company requests rescheduling due to urgent business needs, we will:
- Discuss alternate dates with you, and
- Try to ensure you still get your Vacation Week within the same year.
The Vacation Week entitlement does not carry forward to the next year as a separate benefit.
